ORANG SERDENG

1969 - Form Five

Well, I was raised up as a kid in Kampung Serdeng in the Binatang Disctrict in 1950 until I left Serdeng for Daro in 1963 to continue by schooling. However, since then I have not been back to stay in Serdeng. I continued my education in Binatang Secondary School (now SMK Meradong) until 1969, after passing my Form Five and in the first half of 1970 I was in Methodist Secondary School, in Sibu. (All the places named are in Sarawak, Malaysia)

I was in Saratok Scondary School teaching basically Bahasa Malaysia during the second half of the year and the next year I was off to Kuching starting to work as a translator for some 20 years in RTM.

Well I believe it is justified to give the title Orang Serdeng to my blog. Les, I would be branded as Si Tenggang or unthankful to my root.
